Born from a shared dream

Nearly a decade ago, two passionate dancers found themselves in a car travelling from Uppsala to Stockholm, envisioning a space where dance transcended boundaries. Louise, a yoga therapist and dancer with a deep connection to nature, and Stéphane, a social entrepreneur and dancer with a flair for improvisation, shared a longing for a dance environment free from rigid norms. Their diverse backgrounds in salsa, bachata, merengue, tango, lindy hop, African dance, and contemporary styles fueled their desire to create a community where these forms could intertwine.

This shared vision gave birth to Urban Fusion—a dance space that celebrates the fusion of styles and the freedom of expression through dance. Here, dancers were encouraged to bring their unique experiences, experiment with new movements, and learn from one another. It was more than just dance; It was and still is about human connection, authenticity, and the joy of shared creativity.

Today, Urban Fusion stands as a legation of Louise and Stéphane's dream and all the wonderful people who have co-created this space and community. It is a playful vibrant community where dance is a language of unity, exploration, and boundless possibility.
